    Include the below items in your submission that lists interesting facts about you. You must include at least seven of the following items:

    To request PRO points you will need:

    • Term in which the activity was completed
  • Master your schedule

    Make a calendar to track your weekly routine. You can add any online scheduling or calendaring tool to track your classes, activities, student organization events, etc.

    To request PRO points you will need:

    • Term in which the activity was completed.
    • Word document or PDF with a screenshot of your calendar with at least two weeks of events visible.
  • Social Media Engagement

    Engage with the department’s social media – Facebook, Instagram, or Twitter – by (1) commenting on posts, (2) liking posts, and (3) following the account. The engagement must occur after January 1, 2021.

    To request PRO points you will need:

    • Term in which the activity was completed.
    • Word document or PDF with screenshots that show the engagement. The name of your account or your avatar must be visible in the screen shot.
  • Wellness Activities

    Achieve work/school-life balance by taking some time out for these wellness activities. Do any (or all) of these four activities, in any combination:

    • Read a book for fun (not part of a course).
    • Go outside and take a walk.
    • Take up a hobby.
    • Get some exercise or physical activity.

    To request PRO points you will need:

    • Title of the activity
    • Brief description of the activity
    • Term in which the activity was completed.
    • Selfie of you doing the activity (i.e., you holding the book, going for a walk). You must be in the picture.
  • LinkedIn Learning

    Earn PRO points by completing LinkedIn Learning courses that enhance your professional skills, technology skills, or wellness (i.e., take a yoga class!). The course cannot be part of your coursework.

    To request PRO points for LinkedIn Learning you will need:

    • Title of the module
    • Term in which the course was completed
    • Type of course: professional skills, technology skills, wellness
    • Certificate of completion (downloaded from LinkedIn Learning)
  • Small Business / Non-Profit project

    Earn PRO points for completing a project to digitally transform a small business or non-profit.

    To request PRO points for completing a small business / non-profit project you will need:

    • Title of the project or client
    • Term in which it was completed
    • Project description: Include the name of the advisor, other team members, scope, results, project URL (if applicable), and what you learned in a brief paragraph.
    • Please submit the request only after the project is officially complete.
    • Note: once approved, the project description is automatically displayed in a post on your e-portfolio.
  • Volunteer / Community Service

    We are introducing a new volunteering activity that will award points for significantly helping family, friends, or a local business conduct business during the current crisis.

    To request PRO points for a volunteering activity you will need:

    • Title of the activity
    • Activity description: Include the goals, results, who was helped, and what you learned in a brief paragraph. Note: once approved, the activity description is automatically displayed in a post on your e-portfolio.
    • You must upload a note or letter from who was helped confirming the activity was completed.
  • Other Career Fair

    To request PRO points for participating in another career fair you will need to include the below information.  This includes all career fairs except the Department Career Fair.

    • Title of the career fair
    • Term in which it was completed
    • Sponsoring organization
    • Details of the career fair (e.g., where, when)
    • What you learned
    • How the career fair relates to coursework or your career goals
  • Study abroad

    Earn PRO points for study abroad related to your major. Pre-approval is not needed, points are awarded after you complete study abroad professional development activities related to your major.

    Eligible activities include:

    • Blog about and show extensive knowledge about the local industry related to your major
    • Paid or unpaid work experience related to your major
    • Participate in professional events such as conferences related to your major

    To request PRO points for study abroad you will need:

    • Create a post on your e-portfolio that highlights the above activities.
    • Send an email to the department:
      • Subject heading: Summer/Semester study abroad PRO point request
      • Include a link to the above post
      • Attach proper documentation (e.g., letter from employer, badges at events, link to blog)
    • If your request is approved, the department will award the relevant PRO points.
    • All rejections are final. Partial PRO points are not awarded. Re-submissions are not allowed.

    Note

    • If your study abroad involves an internship, request PRO points for the internship (only).
    • Request additional PRO points for study abroad only for activities that go beyond an internship.
